About Me

Hi, my name is Adam Cain and I'm a musician by trade. As long as I can remember I've always loved music. It always fascinated me hearing people make all those interesting noises come out of the instruments, and it still does. I teach guitar lessons and play pick-up gigs for a living. I've set up and worked at some "rock camps" which help young musicians learn how to perform together as group. Very rewarding experience. I've been fortunate to have been able to travel and perform with many bands of various genres. Groups have ranged from acoustic duo gigs playing flamenco fusion type music to full band with horn section playing funk, jazz, fusion, and progressive rock. I'd like to meet:

Robert Fripp, Gregg Allman, Al Pacino, to name a few. Anyone writing and performing with devotion. I could go on forever but I won't. Oh yeah, and God-but not yet.

Music:

All music inspires me-even the horrible stuff. You can learn something from any kind of music. I think the reason that I like it so much is that no matter how long you spend listening to it and studying and practicing it-you'll never come close to being done. There will always be something new to hear and new concepts to practice.

Movies:

The Omen, The Godfather 1,2,3, Goodfellas, Reservoir Dogs, Hannibal Lector series, Kingdom of Heaven, Gladiator, Saw trilogy, Lord of the Rings trilogy, Deuce Bigalow movies, This is Spinal Tap-of course, Arlington Road, House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil's Rejects, Beerfest, Super Troopers, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Matchstick Men, Jackass movies, K-Pax, Back to the Future trilogy, and many many many others.

Television:

Curb Your Enthusiasm, Unsolved Mysteries, Seinfeld, Law and Order, Simpsons, and Family Guy are all great. MTV can drop dead and drag VH1 with it.
