SUNDAY GIRL music that provokes the mind

About Me

SUNDAY GIRL,
Modern rock has never sounded this good. Self-described purveyor of “modern aggressive rock” Sunday Girl unleashes thick rock power with lush guitar lines, powerful vocals, evocative melodies and thoughtful lyrics. This is the kind of music that gets an audience into an uproar. Listeners will find themselves bowled away by the muscular riffage and tight musicianship of Sunday Girl. Presenting provocative ideas with clever lyricism, this artist is riding the cutting edge of songwriting and performance.
Sunday Girl believes music fills a hole in all of us. It is a need. That being the case, Sunday Girl sets out to write only top quality music to fill this need. Listeners will walk away satisfied, though still wanting more of this artist’s work. The best music is that which leaves us feeling whole but desiring to hear more from the particular source of creativity that inspired us and gave us that musical satisfaction. “Music makes us feel alive and complete. It bridges a gap between us and our environment.” Bridging gaps between artist and listener is also a strong component of Sunday Girls’ music. Those who hear it will feel in touch and in tune with the creative power behind Sunday Girl’s work. This music is smart and original.
Sunday Girl doesn’t want to just entertain you. Sunday Girl wants to spark a reaction, get you thinking, and leave you with new ideas and expanded versions of things you might already be pondering. “Our music is to provoke your mind and not settle for what is handed you, while you search out your inner plan.” Sunday Girl’s songs are intended to inspire and to push you to individuality and self-fulfillment. Individuality is a huge part of Sunday Girl’s songwriting. To be distinctive and individualistic is a hallmark of Sunday Girl, a defining trait.
There’s no denying that life can be a frustrating endeavor and Sunday Girl draws on that, confronting life’s issues and providing a way of coping with them via the masterful song skill behind Sunday Girl’s compositions. With music, Sunday Girl addresses “past and present issues, both personal and in society, the day-to-day frustration and aggravation of life.”
Sunday Girl earned a spot of honor in a Billboard contest and nabbed a semi-finalist position in the 2005 U.K. songwriting competition. Los Angeles’ 104 FM has given Sunday Girl air spin and the group spread the word through touring across the east coast. Sunday Girl will be gigging regionally with a spring tour in 2008. “Sunday Girl is picking up speed; do not miss out on the ride!” Sunday Girl is signed to ThunderCreek Records, and is currently working with Frank Aversa on their upcoming 2008 Album release.
“Aggro rock has a new spokesperson in the form of Sunday Girl.” – A&R Select
