I want to share an updated version of my testimony…..When I was just a young boy I was exposed to pornography as my friend Clint and I were walking in the woods.. See satan uses demonic influences to infiltrate our lives even at a young age. Shortly after this a boy that was several years older than me sexually abused me at about the age of 7. After this occurred I bought into a lie of shame, guilt, and condemnation. See we don’t have to believe this lie from satan. Satan tries to deceive us into believing that we are the ones being judged for sin, when really he is the only one being judged. See Jesus became sin on the cross and was ultimately judged for all of us. We are no longer under the law, but under Grace. Praise God. Well as I grew older I continued to go deeper into sin. I got married and had a baby out of the will of God. By this time I was diving deep into drug and alcohol addiction(heroin and oxycontin). See when we take drugs we are actually bewitching ourselves. Let me explain……Why does a sexual predator drop date rape drugs in someone’s drink? He wants to make them incoherent of their surroundings so he can take advantage of them. See this is what happens when we allow ourselves to become heavily influenced with drugs and alcohol….We’re basically putting on blinders that handicap our ability to hear God. Instead we are convinced that we are going to be addicts the rest of our lives while going around and around in vicious cycle. This is the time where the predator (satan) has a field day in our lives. See drug and alcohol addiction wasn’t my problem, it was just what was on the surface, there were still the lies of shame, guilt, and condemnation that was deep inside. Well a few years after I was married I bought into a lie that the grass was greener on the other side. This led me into an unfaithful relationship with my wife. LIES…LIES…LIES!! So for the next 5 years my life was a pure struggle filled with fighting, drugs, lust, hatred, and what ever else the enemy failed to inform me of from the start. Through all this I knew there had to be more. Then one day I cried out to God for help. I let Jesus have total reign in my life with the hope that He would be my salvation. Then several months later God used The Call( a pray/ fast assembly in Nashville) to really reveal the areas in my life where I allowed satan and his army to have authority in my life. I had basically prostituted by blood over to the enemy. God severed that relationship and brought me back into a true marriage with my Bridegroom Jesus Christ. Through this God has called me to be completely honest with myself and my wife Kisha. He has restored my life and my marriage. Every day I surrender to the Holy Spirit and in return He takes me where He wants me to go. My past is redeemed, my present makes since and my future is secure. I have the FIRE of the Holy Spirit!! …….I am in ministry now under Word Alive International Outreach which is headed by senior Pastor Kent Mattox. Through all of this God has birthed The Underground. The Underground started with a few of just getting together and worshiping the Lord. So come on out!
