The Black Velvet Brigade was officially formed in July 07'. It started out as nothing more than a couple of cocktails at the bar and vision between Matt & Justin serveral years back. The idea behind it was to play no holds- bar thrashy punk rock, get banned from as many venues as possible and drink alot of a Black Velvet whiskey (the bands personal favorite). After several years of playing in other bands of different styles, four guys fed up with all ages shows, the "scene" and all the other underlying typical band bullshit, decided to do something different. Reckless, drunk and sometimes illeagal. BVB consists of ex and current memebers of , THE SYNTHETICS, PERISH, COLD WAR, CRUSHED ON YOU & POSTIVE STATE. By August of 07' our first show was booked as a favor to a good friend. With one practice under our belt and two weeks before the show, we had to make it happen quick. This is the motivation that finally turned the BVB from a vision to a reality. With countless shows already being booked and a new recording under our belt, the wheels are in motion.
