About Me

Lebanon, my precious native country,Armenia, my solid origins,Greece, my beloved country, France, French my education. Born in Lebanon, Masters Degree in land survey engineering from CNAM University. Studied basic marketing & management at the St. Joseph University. Member of CID. In April 1976, the Lebanese civil war had already started; he finds temporary shelter with his parents & his little brother in Greece. After spending there almost all their summer vacations, he starts loving the country & specially its music which helps him to speak & to write the language. The county's instability & his numerous trips to Greece prevent him of the privilege to take piano & vocal lessons. No matter the inconveniences, he tries always to improve his skills playing the keyboard & singing in school & scout activities. In 1993 as a keyboard player he forms with his friends“The Old Instruments” French-English pop band where he organizes several live performances. Along with his successful professional surveying career he starts promoting the Greek culture through its songs & dances by organizing small events at the Hellenic club of Beirut strengthening his relations with the Greek embassy & the community of Lebanon. In 2000, he founds the “demigreco” company, demi for demirdjian & greco for Greece. Where he creates & organizes the following cultural projects: * - “Athina”, the first authentic Greek tavern, where in addition he makes his debut in performing live the Greek music. * - Greek folkloric dance team which brings a successful participation in the “Al Bustan” 2001 Int’l Summer Festival. * - Armenian Musical, Gastronomic & Art Week at the Phoenicia Intercontinental. * - Greek Musical & Gastronomic Week at the Phoenicia Intercontinental. In addition he sings & plays the keyboard with the participation of the Greek famous artists, vocalist Domna Kountouri & bouzouki player Nikos Tatasopoulos. * - Greek Aegean Islands Photo Exhibition, promoting the artworks of 2 famous Greek photographers Depollas & Meis at Club La Marina. * - Greek Musical & Gastronomic Night at the Spring Hills country club. In addition he sings & plays the keyboard with the participation of the Greek artists, vocalist Aristea Kiourktsoglou & Norair Monjian (Cyprus) & famous bouzouki player Michalis Kalaitzis. Besides all his various activities he voluntarily brings his artistic contribution by playing the Piano for several Greek national days’ official events. Sacrificing his professional career in the sake of his love & dreams for Greece was quite obvious. The quick success of his various events made him to expand his projects. He starts planning to create, build & organize several projects, such as: * - “La Maison De La Grece”, a Greek cultural multi activity club. * - “Grecomag”, a bilingual Greek cultural magazine for the Lebanon & the Middle East. * - 3 concerts of famous Greek int’l artists, Glykeria, George Dalaras & Manolis Mitsias. In Feb.2005, a Byzantine icon exhibition was on its final stage of preparations, when the sudden assassination of the former PM of Lebanon Raffic El Hariri paralyzes the country as well as his upcoming projects. In the beginning of 2007, & after almost 2 years of dilemma he decides finally to move to Greece, where after facing several reestablishment difficulties, he starts again organising events & performing live. On Feb & March 2007, he organizes 2 Live Performances, at “Pinakothiki” & “1002 Nights” with the participation of the “Caravan” band. On June 2007, after founding his own band, he organizes a Live Performance, at “1002 Nights”. It’s not by chance at all that he likes performing live combining the Arabic, Armenian, French & Greek songs because he believes that his culture it’s the absolute mixture of them & each language has its own way of expression. His repertory is always inspired by the songs of various legendary int’l artists such as Charles Aznavour, Fairuz, Roupen Matevossian, George Dalaras & Haris Alexiou and many others! Lately, besides his live performances he is working to translate Greek legendary songs lyrics into Armenian & Arabic.
