Born and raised amist the swamp and haze, dat ole mean New Orleans, Louisiana - truly an unsigned hype, Derrick Palmer embarked on his musical journey as a rapper in his late teens entering in numerous talent shows and open mic opportunities in Zoo Orleans and the surrounding areas. His first commercial release was with X-Records, who locally put out a compilation titled “X-Rated” under the group name X-Cult. Countless concerts and mix-tapes later, “Palmer: -At- Armz”-- and his production team ”Swamp Stew”-- are now focused on his next solo mission: Katrina Again: Da Album® a deep infiltration into the hip-hop industry. Currently he’s saturating the streets with his mix-tape: “1 Man - Many Gunz”. With influences from artist like Juvenile, Wu-Tang Clan, N.W.A. and the late Marvin Gaye, this soldier is heavly armed and aiming for the top of the charts with beans and bullets from June to June. Like 2Pac his work ethic a trait he says he acquired from mama is meticulous –“patience, determination and self discipline are what I live by-I am an artist first” . PAA says that longevity and a seat amongst the stars, not just in hip-hop, but of the all the great musical minds is what he strive for and no one without an army can stop him, but he himself.
