Fresh Air Family takes fun outdoors! We explore nature in the most beautiful and magical places with the experts who can help us find things that few people ever see: a rare bird, fish, plant, fossil or animal. We uncover the mysteries of nature in nature itself. We bring together a diverse group of individuals and families of all ages and sizes.
We are a grassroots, kid-driven (70% of the board are children) organization dedicated to environmental and scientific education, leadership, outdoor exploration, healthy lifestyles and healthy families, and an appreciation of the beautiful and biodiverse state of Alabama.
