Carrie started in 2001, when Laura B. decided to work on a solo musical project that included indie-pop, folk and electronic sounds. She was also founder, alongside Eric Gamboa (E.lebleu) and Israel Martínez (Nebula 3 and Israel M.), of the Abolipop label in her hometown of Guadalajara. Carrie has appeared in various international festivals, including the Mutek Festival in México, FIS (Festival Internacional Sonorama), Suoni Per Il Popolo Festival in Montreal, Plataforma and at Festival Internacional de Benicàssim in Spain.
Her debut album, Honey Blue Star, was a split-label release between Static Discos (México) and Dearstereofan (Spain). The album included collaborations with Fernando Corona (Murcof) and was produced by Rubén Tamayo (Fax). Her music has also appeared in the big screen, as heard in the Mexican short film “Benjamín …” by Ernesto Bucio and in the “Highland Gardens” movie by Dutch director Britta Hosman.
As a live act, Carrie has had a constant rotation of musicians and guests like Rubén Tamayo and David Meléndez. Currently Alex Gallo (Pelvis) is her latest live partner and an integral part of Carrie’s new album, 1981. The album is now available through Darla and through various digital outlets including iTunes and Emusic.

El proyecto Carrie dio inicio en el año 2001, cuando Laura B. decidió emprender un proyecto musical en solitario, una mezcla de indie-pop, folk y electrónica. Fue fundadora, junto a Eric Gamboa (E.lebleu) e Israel Martínez (Nébula 3 / Israel M.), del sello tapatío Abolipop, enfocado a la electrónica experimental. Ha participado en varios festivales internacionales como: Mutek México, FIS (Festival Internacional Sonorama), Suoni Per Il Popolo Festival, Plataforma, & FIB (Festival Internacional de Benicàssim) entre otros.
Su disco debut Honey Blue Star (2005), realizado como un split entre Static Discos en México/USA y Dearstereofan en España, incluyó colaboraciones de Fernando Corona (Murcof), y fue producido por Rubén Tamayo (Fax). También ha incursionado brevemente en el mundo del cine, colaborando en un tema del dúo Flight Attendants para el cortometraje mexicano “Benjamín…” dirigido por Ernesto Bucio, y compartiendo uno de sus temas para la película holandesa “Highland Gardens” dirigida por Britta Hosman.
Como acto en vivo Carrie ha tenido una constante rotación de músicos invitados, entre los que destacan Rubén Tamayo, David Meléndez, y actualmente Alex Gallo (Pelvis) quién colaboró de forma importante en el nuevo LP “1981”.
