L.A. Fete (Living Arts Festival)is a gathering of face and body painters from around the country. The 2008 fete will be March 14, 15, 16, and 17th.This event started as an open invitation for fellow painters to come down to South Louisiana to enjoy some famous southern hospitality, great food, and to have a face/body painting weekend "Jam Session". It turns out that there were many people YEARNING to come down here and have a good time with us and share their painting skills. Oh yeah, and of course EAT!So next year we again strive for this to be an opportunity where face and body painters can meet and share their skills and experience with each other. We want to maintain the openness and hospitality that we worked hard to create last time by providing some good company, fun atmosphere, and some home cooked meals!Registration is $75 for painters. If you have non painting friends and children that would like to attend, it's $30 for spouses/friends, $15 Children. This will cover our expenses and some home cooked meals will be provided!The location is the Royal St. Charles. Reservations can be made by calling 800-265-1856 and requesting the group Lafete Group and the dates of the event. Our special group rate is $99 per night.
