In general, "Death Metal" sounds to me like a pissed-off Cookie Monster on a total bender, while cranked-up guitarists attempt vainly to cover up their lack of musical texture with speed, and a drummer pounds out his sexual frustrations on double bass-pedals, smothering any attempt at percussive ingenuity.But that's just one Messiah's view.
