I m a DJ in the UK, well into breaks, dubstep an D&B, anything wierd and nasty floats my boat as it gels with my IBS (Irritable Bitch Syndrome).
Been playing about with beats for about seven years, starting originally with techno in Bristol while I was at university. But I was a sucker for a fat bassline, and after moving to Essex and meeting a new group of mates I discovered breaks, electro, drum and bass and dubstep. The broken beats moved me more than four to the floor but I still love techno.
For the last few years I've been involved with various events run by the Polymorphic crew in Southend, who also put on the odd free party now and again. Until recently I broadcasted live on NuSkoolBreaks Radio . I usually turn up on the decks and scare the pants off everyone at Mata Boo Boo, the only breaks night in Southend. I love mixing and scratching and even though I'm pretty shy sometimes, put a crowd in front of me and two turntables under my sweaty palms and I'll be away for hours. Especially if I can hold off the hard house DJ's for a while.
I am in the process of being geekified by my boyfriend and co-producer Arron from
, and spend most of my time in the studio with him, stroking my chin. He is still producing techno but together we make breaks and dubstep, and are pretty busy with our many circuit bending and customising projects that we undertake under the name SPACE-CAT AUDIO TECHNOLOGIES (S-CAT).
