A valley native born in august of 1982,Teo AKA Teo Valle grew up in Madera Ca listening to such artists as Arrested Development, Tag Team, as well as his all time old school favorites, Onyx and House of Pain. Even though his choice of music was hip hop, he had strong influence from, as he put it, "Oldies but goodies†that were the majority of songs played in the house hold. Teo created his thirst to rap with "beat boxing" (producing beats with his mouth) when he was 11, just a larvae. Now 25 Teo looks to artist like Dr Dre, Kanye West, Juelz Santana, Lil Wayne, Fat Joe, and Wisin y Yandel for guidance. Teo is known for his up tempo productions and clever word play. He calls his music "Latin American Hype Hop,†which is mixture of fast pace dance and/or "hyphy" (as some say) productions and a touch of his non cholo like latino schwag. Teo has been called the "Mexican Pherrel" of hip hop as well as the "Pisa Lil Wayne.â€
Losing his mother to complications from lupis late 2003, Teo found that in the booth and behind the triton key board he could escape the troublesome world around him. The young larvae found his cocoon. He worked day and night learning and improving his craft. Seeing all his child hood friends ending up in jail or dead Teo believes that if it wasn't for music "pulling him in" he would have wound up like his peers. Teo says, "I thank God for music and like Lupe Fiasco I can say -hip hop saved me-".
Teo played a major role in shooting, editing and producing the 2005 release of "Central Valley Gone Hyphy" (the first urban DVD ever to be released from the central valley). The DVD was sold in Georgia, Mississippi, New York, and had a big impact across California. Teo has had over 2900 profile views on his web page along with more than 1300+ song plays. He has roughly 700 friend/fans in his data base. Some artist Teo has opened for : Keak da Sneak, JT The Bigga Figga, Mob Figgas, The West Coast Dream Team, Mastah Kush and Lex Rivers, Diego Redd, and Product of the G Squad to name a few. Teo was featured on the 559 Blaze's song "Valley to Vallejo" which also featured Thizz's own J Diggs. Teo has also purchased production from known producer Traxamillion (who produced the remix to Brook Hogan's “About Us" feat. E 40).
Up is the only way to go for Teo. "Space is the Limit" as he says.Teo is breaking out of his cocoon and ready to float like a butterfly and sting like a bee. Some of Teo’s goals are to create an indie type production company, and has been successfully shopping his productions to artist and record companies within the central valley. Teo also plans on taking classes such as Vocal, Acting, and Dancing. Teo is currently trying out for casting calls within California, as well as looking for internships at record companies and radio stations. Teo plans to open a non profit organization that is focused on the treatment and cure of LUPAS. Teo's positive attitude along with his strive to learn proves that he’s not quitting any time soon. I believe that Teo is breaking the mold and well on his way to becoming a major factor. I'll let my homeboy Teo tell you himself "I will continue to raise the bar for myself and my fans. I like to try new things and I am not afraid to be different. Music is not my hobby or past time it is who I am, my truth."Written by, Daisy Landeros
