I think it's time we put an end to online pedophiles and alert our children about the dangers of giving out personal information on the internet. Parents should pay more attention to their children's internet activity, as well as their behavior while online. I can't begin to tell you how much tragic events have occurred to young and vulnerable children meeting strangers online. Most of the meetings severely scarred the children physically and mentally, others were fatal and sometimes resulted in death. Parents are often non-attentive in situations like these because their first reaction is "It won't happen to my child", please open your eyes and realize that being ignorant to the situation can make matters worse.
My movement is not only to eliminate predators via the internet, but in real life. When I was young, I would sometimes have to deal with older men blowing kisses at me, winking at me, saying sexually explicit things to me and asking me for my phone number. I was about 12 at the time that this use to occur and the men I ran into were usually 35-50 years of age. While most girls find this flattering, I find this disgusting and annoying. If they can talk this way to a 12 year old young girl, what would keep them from maybe molesting their own young female children or their young daughter's friends? It's disgusting and sad that men prey on young and innocent children because they know that they can easily take control of them, it's disgusting to know that men want to take advantage of people who are not fully developed mentally and physically and who can't even give consent to their sick actions. I believe this is a sick mentality...SPREAD THE AWARENESS...this problem is increasing and must be put to an end...KEEP THE INTERNET SAFE!
