These recordings here are essentially demos with me doing everything with the exception of the drumming on "She Waits" provided by Mark Whobrey.,...THEATER X, IS: Me: guitar/bass/vocals/composition, S. Alan Aker: guitar/bass/vocals/composition, Mark Whobrey: drums/guitar/bass/vocals/composition. Also currently playing in several northwest Fl. classic rock cover bands: Sea..n Eye Dog, Morning Meds & The Usual Suspects. ..
Influences: Everybody & everything from classical to big band jazz to the entire history of rock music...although early & mid 60s rock is what I was always into and moved by the most...and still am...(to list everyone that I'm into from this period would take an entire page unto itself so I'll just leave it at that)....as well as chrome, thunderstorms & lightning, Warner Bros. cartoons, meteor showers, the aroura borealis, nature in general, nostalgia in general, Thomas Edison & all the inventors, Monty Python & The Marx Brothers, atomic 50s culture & design, 60s mod culture & style, rain in the city, snow in the city, tall buildings, old neon signs, Ray Bradbury, George Barris, custom hot rods & motorcycles, steam trains...I could go on & on here...the sun, the stars, ufos, 60s surf movies, LSD, being high on moonlit nights, bicycling on said nights, long drives through cool places, the smell of a hot tube amp, the smell of burning leaves in the fall, a warm crackling fire & a glass of wine when it's freezing outside, the seashore, gazing over the landscape from the top of the highest hill... It all comes out rock..n roll. CLICK THE BANNER FOR SOME RARE MID 60s PSYCH/GARAGE ROCK!
Sounds Like: It's own thing really, like psychedelic mod surfabilly or british invasion turned up to 50...or 100. Alot of different electric things....It's rock`n roll brother & we're rockin' tonight!! CLICK HERE FOR THE THEATER X BAND PAGE!!
