Music, Horror Movies, good books, Blaxploitation, Record Collecting, Synthesizers, Interesting people.
People with something concrete to talk about. it would be nice if you had all your teeth, as well.
GOOD music, as opposed to BAD music. Industrial, Jazz, Punk, Electro, Ambient, Darkcore, Country, Serial, Classical, breakbeats, Bizarre, Soul, etc, etc, etc. I like a lot of stuff, period. I cling to no genre label, as the glue gives me a rash. But for several points of comparison: Front 242, KMFDM, King Tubby, Nash the Slash, Faust, Martin Hannett, Tangerine Dream, Miss Kittin and The Hacker, Sun Ra, Black Sabbath, Deja Voodoo, Frank Zappa, Joy Division, Scientific Americans, Lee "Scratch" Perry, Wumpscut, Slick Idiot, The Ventures, Captain Beefheart, Devo, New Order, Teenage Head, Viletones, Ramones, Dead Kennedys, Leather Strip, Depeche Mode, etc etc etc
I watch a lot of movies. I enjoy something from almost every category (with the exception of children's films), but tend to dwell in low-budget horror, Blaxploitation, and low-budget action. For short reference: Shaft, Dawn Of The Dead, Napoleon Dynamite, The Beyond, Toxic Avenger, It Came From Hollywood, Savage Streets, Fade To Black, etc etc etc.
Television is mindrot. I don't have cable, and due to the metal on the roof of my building, I can't really pick up the free channels, either. Regardless, television is making generations of illiterate air stealers.
Anything by: Kerouac, Ginsberg, Burroughs or Rex Miller. I REALLY enjoy music biographies, beat generation stuff, true crime, the odd horror novel (the "chaingang" series is pretty good), or anything on music history.
Heroes are for comic books and action movies. I admire a few people for certain reasons, but since it has no bearing on anything, I won't mention them
