Professional Drummer Miles Moran

About Me

Born and raised in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, much has changed around Miles on the streets he grew up on. He began playing drums at around the age of 9 on a cheap no-name set from a street fair. He has played with numerous bands all over the New York City area since that time such as The Squabs, The J.D.'s, Wax Museum, Donathen and the Eight Balls, The Shy Snipers, Djibouti, and many more. He is currently playing for Grandmaster Mele Mel (of Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five), The Boom Bits, Band X, and The Utopian Prophets, but he is always available for gigs, session work, and local NYC lessons in any genre of music. He is most proficient in funk, jazz, soul, hip-hop/rap, rock, latin, reggae, and blues.
