Nu York Yoni is an online community for lesbian and bisexual women of color in NYC (and all or wonderful female friends). It is a place to meet, get to know and grow with women who share similiar lifestyles. Share community news, plan meetups, make friends and hook up. Join us once a month as we gather at different NYC hotspots to share good laughs, good times and maybe a few good drinks.
Our first meetup is scheduled for the 29th at a NYC bar/club/lounge to be disclosed to members only.
You must be 18 years of age or older to join this group.
The word yoni is the Sanskrit word for "Divine Passage" ,"Place of birth","Womb"(more as nature as a womb and cradle of all creations) or "sacred Temple". The Ayurveda described yoni as a part of the female anatomy. Here the term was meant as a designation of respect for women who gave birth, thus contributing to the continuation of the community.
