Genoa Keawe, John Watkins, Kai Davis, Agnes Malabey, Sarah Huihui, Clem Kamakea, George Pokini, Kekua Fernandez, Irmgard Aluli, Lei Colins, Madeline Lam, George Waipa, Benny Kalama, Violet Pahu Liliko'i, Vicki I'i, Pauline Kekahuna, Mabel Kekino, Linda Dela Cruz, John Almeida, Bill Ali'iloa Lincoln, George Kainapau, Myrtle K. Hilo, Kahauanu Lake and the Kahauanu Lake trio, Dorothy Kalima, Joe Keawe, Alice Namakelua and many more. They serve as my inspiration to carry on the legacy of Hawaiian music that they left. And those who perpetuate hawaiian in these days, Na Palapalai, Holunape, 'Ike Pono, Na Hoa, Keawe Lopez, Kihei & Mapuana De Silva, Frank Hewitt and the many others that share the same compassion for Hawaiian music that I have. Polynesian music...Te Vaka especially. Good stuff!!!! Believe it or not, I love barber shop quartets. Harmony music is the best kind! Big band and Broadway. I love R&B! Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Erikah Badu, anything that makes you relax. Old school Divas...Aretha, Patti La Belle, Diana Ross, Gladys Knight, etc. Good beats and music equals good times!
