Starting out in August 2007 - SHRUG was a night that Bradford had never before seen the likes of. It brought with it a new, fresh and exciting sound that was yet to be heard in its hometown. One of SHRUG's most noticable assets was and still is its buzzing atmosphere that differs from so many club nights in Bradford.
Bringing DJ's to the area from the Electro scene that so many locals had never heard of, with the exception of those who decided that their money was better spent in places such as Leeds or Huddersfield etc. SHRUG has continually raised the bar with DJ's from the likes of KissDaFunk, Purrfect electro, Back2Mine, Glasshouse, Ministry of Sound and Funky Dory to name but a few. Along side SHRUG's residents - Ste Hadcroft, Matt Holmes & Marc Landish have starred such names as Luke Pompey, Dean Smahon & Graham Dixon, Levi Lewis, Josh Demello, Matt Fear, Nick Ostertag, Dale Castell and of course Marc Leaf who helped us to celebrate our 1st Birthday in style in September 2008 - Bringing Bradford to a complete stand still - at our home, The Love Apple.
SHRUG is growing from strength to strength thanks to our loyal army of party mad supporters (you know who you are) - and of course every new face that steps through The Love Apple doors on the 1st saturday of every month.
