Bass Invader (AKA Nick Gardner) has been involved in the NZ music scene since the mid 90s. Starting out with live break beat using an MPC2000, Bass Invader has been on a quest to produce all forms of breaks influenced genres. In 2002 the search for a partner in crime ended at an Auckland school of audio engineering were he meet John Henderson. Double Negative was formed and ever since the boys have been making big waves in the Breaks scene. Djing along side names like Freq Nasty, Rough Element, Breakfastaz, Plump Djs, Autobots & Krafty Cuts, and releases with Mechanoise and transverse and a couple of forth coming yet to be announced, as well as remixes and collabs with The Up Beats, Naztik and White Papoo, these two are well set to bring their sound to the world wide scene.Having developed a techy and bass driven production sound, Bass Invader is a committed and devoted producer, always on the search for more breaks and phater bass lines than ever.
