About Me

My name is Philip Cox. I'm 26. I am a professional session/live drummer and am a writer as well. I am what's known here in Nashville as a "Freelance Musician". In other words, I am hired out to play for many differant acts. Be it Christian, Country(yeehaw), Rock, R&B or Pop, or whatever is called for. Check out 'Phil's Companies' on the left hand side of my page to see some of who I've been working with lately.
When in town, I play as many indy acts as I can. I love the local music scene that Nashville has and try to support it as much as possible.
Even though I love playin' drums, I have one passion, one thing that I live for....and that's Jesus Christ. I've chosen to make Him the ruler of my life, and He has chosen me. To love me, care for me, die for me, and create a wonderful life plan for me. So I love going deeper in my love relationship with Him. I'm surrounded by great people who share the same life journey with me and I have a blast growing with them and seeing Christ work in all of our lives. I also have a penom wife who honestly walks with me and helps me become all that my Father has created me to be. I try my best to do the same in her life as well (often to no avail :o) )
Well thats me in a nutshell.
Peace
Phil
