Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock,... mostly people who have influenced me musically. They are far too numerous to list individually...
I'm into a lot of different styles. It starts with soul, jazz, funk and gospel...to 50's and 60's R&B and 60's pop , 70's pop rock ,70's soul, even some 80's stuff, be-bop and some free-form jazz, jazz-fusion, some smooth jazz, some classical...I like a lot of artists, but mostly I am a fan of great songs.
If I'm watching T.V. it's usually music, sports, history, or some sort of documentary. I can't seem to keep up with prime time shows and reality shows wear me out took quickly. Sometimes, I'll watch TVLand because it brings back memories. After all, I am 90 years old :)
Here are a few BLUE LIKE JAZZ, WILD AT HEART, MEDITATIONS (Marcus Aurelius), TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, A SEPARATE PEACE, THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF MALCOLM X... I know I'm all over the place with this...and so on
My mother, Willie Coates,Jr. (My pastor in Indiana), Stevie Wonder (even though I've never met him), and most all my Savior...However, there are many people who have impacted my life with acts of heroism. So, a comprehensive list could go on for pages and pages. If you're in my life, then you probably qualify :)
