What's inside me? I dunno.... guts... and black stuff.

About Me

I grew up in a fairly closed off, rural Illinois town. I endured a fairly average childhood, up until adolescence when things got kinda screwy. I got married fairly young(21) and stayed married for 8 years. Now I'm single again, looking for myself(again) and trying to build a life that's for ME. They say life's a journey, and it looks like I just stepped out the door.

My Interests

anything Japanese, music(I'm hearing great new stuff every day), movies, art (drawing, sculpting, etc.), martial arts, zen, tea, sushi, lots of stuff I haven't even discovered yet

I'd like to meet:

New people who can hold an interesting conversation and don't balk at someone being honest with them, and people who can introduce me to new things that I might not know I like yet (music, movies, food, etc.)

Music:

my tastes are kinda eclectic, and I'm discovering new bands I like, every day. In no particular order: the Bureau, Bjork, Nick Cave, Wolfsheim, Tchaikovsky, the New Pornographers, Tomahawk, Type O Negative, Wumpscut, Bach, Riddle of Steel, Clutch, the Cure, the Misfits, My Bloody Valentine, Mozart, Bauhaus, David Bowie, the Bravery, Poe, Yo Yo Ma, Interpol, Mr. Bungle, Danzig, Talking Heads, Apoptygma Berzerk, Mission UK, the Wake, Skinny Puppy, Tool, Peter Murphy, Helmet, Switchblade Symphony, 1000 Homo DJ's, Chris Connely, Oingo Boingo, Hum, Sisters of Mercy, Jane's Addiction, Veruca Salt, Combichrist, Franz Ferdinand, N.I.N., Mazzie Starr, Gary Numan, Aphex Twin, My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult, the Exploited, Ned's Atomic Dustbin, the Smiths, Coil, Ministry, Black Tape for a Blue Girl, Android Lust, A Flock of Seagulls, the Genitorturers, Covenant, the Faint, Rammstein, Queens of the Stone Age, Portishead, H.I.M., Fugazi, Fear Factory, Panzer AG, the list goes on...
