Hi my Name is Cyndi, I'm a mother of to beautiful gifts from God their names are Matthew who is 10 and Nicholas who will be 9 soon. I'm a child abuse survivor and chose to break the cycle. I was sexually abused from the age of 5-7 by my oldest step brother and also had mental abuse and some physical abuse too by my father, whom I have since forgiven for the things he done to me and my brothers and sisters. I get so sick of hearing on T.V. people that say I sexually abuse children because it happend to me or they say I abuse because I was abused. That to me is the biggest cop-out I have ever heard in my life. I can't understand why anyone would want to do to a child what was done to them that is just sick. I would never think of harming my boys in a sexual way like was done to me. I'm not saying I'm perfect because I am far far from it. It is at times very hard not to strike out at my boys because kids just know how to push their parents buttons but I am saying I don't I walk away and I count or whatever I need to do at the time to calm down then I can best deal with the boys without saying hurtful words or hitting them. Yes it is hard but hey who ever said being a parent was easy anyhow. Well enough about me. I have started M.A.C.A ( Moms Against Child Abuse ) because we are talking about the parents to be and the abuse has got to stop with us.
