Joma (Drums)

Pots and Pans. That is where it all started for Joma. You could find the pots every where except for the kitchen and you could hear them throughout the house. That is until Joma received his first drum kit at age 5, when his mom decided to reclaim her pots and pans for cooking again! Studying all types of styles and genres including, Rock, Jazz, R&B, Funk, and Metal, Joma was addicted to the beat. It was in his blood and there was no stopping it. Like many other talented musicians, he began playing at his church, but what set him apart was that he was the only one on the Praise team that was 12 years old. Not being afraid to try new things and being a quick learner has landed him various opportunities to play with other talented musicians and artists. Since his first gig on the Praise team at his Church, Joma has participated on several Praise teams and played with countless Christian worship artists. Currently, Joma resides in Nashville, TN where he has been privileged to meet and work with greats in the music industry. His eagerness to be the best at what he does in all things continues to separate him from those who just know how to play. Joma sits in with solo artists or bands when needed, and he is also a session drummer and teaches drums locally. Joma uses Pearl Drums/hardware, Zildjian Cymbals, Vic Firth Sticks, DW 5000 Pedals, Gibraltar Racks and Evans Heads.
