Update Dec 8: PC3 VIDEOS ADDED!!
ENJOY!! More to follow soon....
We've released the SP2 stage piano and it's been widely hailed as a success.
Check it out in this month's issue of Keyboard! More info on the SP2 at our website - www.kurzweilmusicsystems.com
As for the PC3.... START SAVING NOW. Not much longer...
This is going to be the best professional keyboard instrument money can buy. We're going to have video clips online soon with some sneak previews of the PC3.
No marketing gimmicks. No color touchscreens, no video players, no CD burners, etc. We thought you would rather have pristine audio, REALISTIC vintage sounds, 32 layers per program, VA1 oscillators (lots of them!), and better effects than what you'd find in most stand-alone processors, all thanks to our high end proprietary chips and circuitry.
We've developed a new version of VAST, with more DSP power than anytthing we've done before. The routings/wirings of VAST algs are now programmable. You can make your own synth algs!
Update: Casade Mode - Huge synth feature just added - the ability to route any layer into the DSP of any other layer. It's like Triple Mode was for the K26, but with up to 32 layers instead of 3.
You can run VA1 oscillators into dozens of filters, including our incredible 4-pole lowpass!
What you're getting is the best possible sound set combined with the most powerful synthesis engine ever designed; a world class instrument built around the notion of excellence.
Background: Kurzweil Music Systems was founded in the early eighties by well known scientist/futurist/pundit Ray Kurzweil. The idea for a digital musical instrument grew out of Ray's collaborative efforts with Stevie Wonder to develop a reading machine for the blind. Kurzweil's first instrument, the K250 featured the world's first sampled grand piano and defined high end throughout the eighties.
Since then Kurzweil has continuously developed cutting edge hardware which has time after time set the industry standard for sound quality. Both our K Series and PC Series instruments are still favored by many high profile professionals. Though they are getting up there in years, users still prefer the sound of our 8 year old instruments over the current offerings from the larger companies. Just imagine what our NEW boards will sound like! Not long now....
From orchestral emulations to advanced digital synthesis, from virtual analog to virtual concert halls, from techno to retro, Kurzweil's next generation of instruments is going to once again redefine the keyboard industry.
