HEARTICAL SPENCE aka The Chaka Lion... Roots Reggae/Reggae/Dub/Live Jam ... residing in the beautiful vicinity of Shashemene, Ethiopia, East Africa - The Motherland. I give Thanks & Praises in That precious name of Our Lord & Saviour -Jesus Christ revealed in the Personality of H.I.M Emperor Haile Selassie 1st - Jah Rastafari. Creating musical works since 1979 whilst living in Manchester UK and delivering some serious live shows within a group called 'The Hearticals'. A member of The Twelve Tribes of Israel since the 70's & a long-serving producer of real home grown Reggae music.The Heartical one as a part of The Hearticals trio for many years appeared with many of the greats of the reggae industry, such as Dennis Brown, Freddy Mcgregor, Aswad, Twinkle brothers, Errol Dunkley, etc to name but a few, one of the highlights being an appearance on one of the Twelve Tribes of Israel celebrations, commemorating HIM Haile Selassie 1st birthday in Manchester with Bob Marley being the guest artiste. Good times in the earlies.1999 was the year to make that move as a solo artiste and to the Motherland, heart, body and soul said it was time, so December 99 it was time to go and help to facilitate repatriation from here in Ethiopia, by spreading the word and being an example that repatration is still a must, we sing it lets deal with it.2002 as part of the Tafari Rebel band we went touring Kenya with Teddy Dan on his United states of Africa tour a nice experience, massive respect to our bass player for that tour Bro Tony Benji who we met up with one day before the tour started, anyone who is in Kenya and needs a bass player I,ll recommend him to the max.2005 in Addis Ababa and Shashemene they held the 60th birthday celebration of Bro. Bob Marley, I give much thanks to have been part of the whole affair as a performer, from the Marley,s to all the Ethiopian people had a good time, the theme of the whole affair being Africa Unite, Fred Locks, Bob Andy, Lauren Hill, Danny Glover big tings was going on right here in Africa, so make it a date and dont be late the true Millenium is coming, September 11th 2007 is our Millenium. Watch this space!!!Rastafari messengers Luciano and Mikey General visited the homeland 2007, so give thanks again to the Almighty God that we could put down a truly righteous night of praises for the Ethiopians and the repatriated Rases with Luchy, mikey, Teddy Dan, myself and Haile Roots an upcoming young reggae artiste from Ethiopia doing the biz. Big up to the rest of the Rainbow band and Bro Norville and Bro Jamal from the States.Right now is the time to spread the word from here so my Chaka productions studio set up right here in Shashemene ( likkle but talawa ) hope to be doing some big tings in the near future as nough of the youth dem out here have talent.
