LR Rockets recorded four tracks with PREMEN who has worked with the likes of Bloc Party, Jack Penate, Klaxxons and many more. From those recordings we chose Personailty and Pincer Movement to go on our next release!!

The Judge is away on family duties at the moment and we have the almighty Jude filling in on Bass until he returns...come see us live with our new Bass player filling out the right flank!!

BIOG: LR RocKeTs are a 4-way rawk and rocket racket that fire up a frenzy live with enough energy to replace Sizewell B...sending power to juice up your stereos to blast out their over-excitable sound...originally from Harlow, York, Barnsley and Bedford they now all hole up in their secret Rocket Headquarters - London writing songs and devising plans for global domination.

With vocals on triple assault, they assail you with addictive melodies and high impact cries, bolstered with drums and bass like an engine Snarling and growling and beating on with a pace that would make futurism cry...rhythm guitar of finger shredding, fret battling intensity lacing together maverick antics on lead guitar into a sometimes minimal...sometimes massive...front line...cutting edge...sound...the virgin gunfire of the first line of Tommies over the hill and out of the trench...the terrifying cries of foxes fucking in your back garden whilst you're reminiscing of your first ever kiss...the peals of Big Ben as you lie puking in the Westminster gutter and the night bus passes you by...The scare of a childs balloon bursting on the tube and the gasping of communal air

'Personailty' REVIEWs: LOSING TODAY

L R Rockets ‘Personality’ (Art Goes Pop). A belching brace of brazenly barnstorming boot banging boogie from London based quartet the LR Rockets that should suitably see to it that the hi-fi is in equal measures trounced, terrified and trashed. Don’t know about you but in our humble opinion those punky pups over at Art Goes Pop certainly have an enviable knack of filling their grab bag full of goodies when they’re out and about on scouting raids. This year alone has seen them upending our normally tranquil environment with drop dead dandy discs aplenty by the Duloks, the Low Miffs, Kill the Young, Stinky Munchkins and the bollock dropping cool of Isosceles. Not content to give the chasing pack barely a pause for breathe they up the ante with the third release from LR Rockets - yep you heard right the third release which bugger me means that we’ve already missed out on two potential gems much to our gnashing of teeth. ’personality’ is one bad assed bastard of toxic tastiness, totally unhinged and wickedly wired - an acutely angular New York Dolls if you like shagging the hell out of the riff from the Jam’s ’when you’re young’ and launching off at the deep end in to a frantic action painting montage of thunderous riot laden grind peppered with a maddeningly schizoid throb that’s braided with more needled hooks than a Thailand sweat shop. ‘pincer movement’ over on the flip is more of the same only with the fraught, frantic and frenetic dials all cranked up to meltdown, distressed pop for the damaged. Joint single of the missive as though it could be anything else.

'Live' REVIEWS : First up are the LR Rockets and they soon raise the temp. and the roof. Four dashing young men with a sense of style and musical direction, the Rockets combine angular artrock aesthetics with the freedom to rock out when required. Dual frontmen, Lukelear bomb and Lemonpie, handsome devils the pair of them, interweave their shouted vocals and guitars to magical effect and the rhythm section is immaculate. These boys have put the work in and are ready to move on up judging from this performance the raw energy created by this band was something special.
