About Me

I'm one of the few people in America who has worked as both a professional mime and a corporate speech writer. One of the founding members of the Vorpmi Improvisational Comedy Troupe and the former public relations director for a nationally touring entertainment attraction, I am the author of books ranging from poetry and children's literature to humorous reference.
The San Francisco Chronicle said, "Lee's dry, humorous tone makes her a charming companion… She has a penchant for wordplay that is irresistible."
My books are:
A Child's Introduction to Ballet (Black Dog and Leventhal, 2007)
Blame it on the Rain(Harper Collins, 2006)
The Elvis Impersonation Kit (Black Dog and Leventhal, 2006)
The 100 Most Dangerous Things in Everyday Life and What You Can Do About Them (Broadway Books, 2004)
The Best American History Quiz Book(Co-author) (Publications International, 2002)
The Pocket Encyclopedia of Aggravation (Black Dog and Leventhal, 2001)
The Name’s Familiar II (Pelican Publishing, 2000)
Arlo, Alice and Anglicans: The Lives of a New England Church (Berkshire House, 2000)
Bad Predictions(Elsewhere Press, 2000) A collection of quotes from 2,000 years of the best minds making the worst forecasts.
The Name’s Familiar: Mr. Leotard, Barbie and Chef Boyardee (Pelican Publishing, 1999)
Invited to Sound (Elsewhere Press, 1998) Poetry
I'm also a ballet promoter representing Valery Lantratov and the Russian National Ballet Foundation in the United States. You can read all about it at lantratov.blogspot.com , the blog I actually keep fairly up to date.
