About Me

King Dice, won the Dominica carnival calypso competition for the third time in a row in 2006; “Three-peat”. In over sixty years of competitive calypso history in Dominica, only two calypsonians had accomplished this feat; “King Idol” 1964-66, and King Solo 1975–77. In accomplishing this feat the Young King Dice also broke his own record set the year before in 2005, when he became the first calypsonian ever to win both Calypso Monarch and Road March crown twice in succession

Sounds Like: King Dice Again Denison Joseph well known as ‘King Dice’ has carried the name of his community Boetica everywhere he performs. Son of Roy Joseph and Phyllis Daniel of Boetica, Denison attended the Boetica Government School and then the Delices primary where he passed the Junior Secondary Program, followed with a secondary education at the St. Mary’s Academy. The king’s singing career started in 1998 when he took part in the junior calypso monarch while still a student at SMA, he then took his skill further in 2002 as a competitor at the National Calypso King competition where he placed 3rd with the song “Tarzan.” Still not deterred by his loss, Denison came back to compete with the song that made him king for the first time “Animal Farm” in 2004. In 2005 he recaptured the crown with a popular hit, Puppet Master and in 2006 did the broke long-standing record of capturing the crown three consecutive times with another hit I Aint Afraid of Dem. With a powerful voice and an exceptional writer, Pat Aaron the sky is the limit for this young artist. Presently Dice is employed with Josephine Gabriel Ltd. and is attached to the marketing section. Dice has dreams of furthering his studies in Business Management
