Autobahn promotes not just dance music but good quality dance music. We do this with the help of our own resident djs as well as guest appearances from other home grown talent and international acts.In April 2007 Autobahn was launched by promoters Max Conte and Will Graham bringing new and exciting events to the Dublin club scene.Autobahn began hosting events at Karma in Dublin city centre. Within the first few months of the night commencing, it was transformed to what used to be a virtually dead Saturday night at Karma into a huge success.Autobahns own resident DJs, as well as guest appearances from other home grown talent and international acts, have led Autobahn to continually grow from strength to strength with a strong regular following among Dublin clubbers.Musical sounds at Autobahn vary depending on the night and the acts playing. So far Autobahn has heard everything from electro to grime and dub step, to minimal techno, house and new wave ambience. Autobahn have hosted a number of other venues around the country and have played at major gigs including Electric Picnic in Laois, Homemade Jam Festival in Armagh, Ghetto Jacking Collective in Rogue, Bomber Night in Frasiers, Origin in Radio City, Breakdown in Radio City, Family vs Autobahn in Wax and many more.Autobahns impressive guest DJs and live acts have come from all over Europe and include Dyko & Wolfgang Flur (Ex Kraftwerk), Avus (Border Community Uk), Ripperton (Perspectiv Records, Switzerland), 2Bit (Invisible Agent Records, Dublin), Kanthon (Intelligent Sounds Collective, Poland), Grizzle, Ping Pong, Foreign Bodies (Electric Underground, Cork), Aaron Costelloe with many more exciting new names to come.At the end of 2007, Autobahn success was becoming increasingly apparent with the promoters Max Conte and Will Graham being nominated for Best New Night/Promoters in the Irish Dance Music Awards and were also asked to teach a Dj/Music Production Workshop at the Tipperary Arts Centre.Autobahn began 2008 on a higher note with Gigs at Shake in the Hub and also Tri-Pod. DJ/Promoter Will Grahams alias Plastic Rhythm released the "Time Machine" Ep on the new and brilliant Irish label TripleOne Records who have also snapped up two of our other residents Aphet and Rory Hyland. In February 2008 a TripleOne Records showcase was held at Southwilliam which was added to the list of Autobahns triumphs. It was a full house and the atmosphere was electric so Dublin clubbers can expect to see a lot more Autobahn/TripleOne Records nights and special guests in the near future.Autobahn would like to thank everyone for their support and hopefully our success will continue in the future!
