Once you hear MIKE's music, you'll understand why Brooklyn born Michael St. Fleur doesn’t' need a catchy nickname to draw attention to himself. He's simply, Mike. You ask, okay who is Mike? What does he do? How is he different from all the other rapper/singer/hip hop artists coming out? The answers; Mike is the soothingly explosive lyrics accompanied by his determination for stardom. He does it all. Really! He sings, he raps and he writes, mixing both English and Spanish from his Dominican roots. Like others, he has learned from and respects the pioneers. He doesn't proclaim himself to be the best or the king of anything, he just brings you the music stirring in his soul. Let me take you back. Mike got his first taste of rap at the age of 12, when he came upon his older brother listening to Jay-Z's infamous Reasonable Doubt album. It was at this moment, that Mike became aware of his passion, and his thirst for knowledge about the rap industry became more than just urge but a certainty. He began listening to more rap and with the encouragement of his sister, started listening to other genres of music as well. Some of his favorite and most respected artists are Curtis Blow, Doug E. Fresh, and of course Biggie and Pac. But those are just some rap favorites. He also listens to Guns and Roses, Phil Collins, Elton John, Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight and many others. His sister believed that by Mike being well cultured, it would add to his diversity and creativity. She was right. Over time Mike's confidence built and he was soon battle rapping and leavin' the mic smokin' when he was done. It wasn't long before he caught the eye of Executive Producer Julian Booth of Slip and Slide records who recognized Mike's talent instantly. Soon Mike was entertaining other artists like Angie Martinez who absolutely blown away by Mike's gift. So now, with the management and guidance of his sister, Natalie Ramos, Executive VP of Weather Da Storm Entertainment, Mike is ready for the world! Mike has already ravaged the stage on the Ron Alexander Show, The Club Shrine, Club 923, Club Saltana, and other showcases throughout New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia. More recently Mike has teamed up with Universal’s Own Musical Genius Frankie Biggz, who has produced artists such as Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Kayne West and Diddy, to create music that is not only trend setting and original but will give the world one more reason to love hip hop. With Frankie Biggz as Mike¡¦s mentor, Mike has been able to bring a new sound to the industry. You can hear these sounds when you listen to his songs "Just A Little" or "Get A Way" Mike believes that music is one big melting pot and he's ready to add to it.
