Coercion

Since its formation in the summer of 2003, Coercion has been a band with a strong and conscience message, aggressive sound, and ridiculously insane live performance. With influences ranging from Crimpshrine to Judge, Coercion retains a sound that is completely unique, while still not straying to far from the hardcore bands of today. The word coercion means "to force to act or think in a certain way by use of pressure, threats, or intimidation" and this is precisely our goal. While we will never threaten anybody or force people to think or feel a certain way, we WILL force you to consider another viewpoint. We WILL force you to open your mind, your heart, and most importantly, your eyes, to see the ugly truths that exist in this country today. We know what is going on around us, and we don't fucking like it. From the countless lies, scandals, and overall disgusting display of arrogance and complete disregard of respect for the world shown to us by the Bush administration, to the ever present threat of a nuclear apocolypse, we want people to be aware and proactive because we believe in postive change. The only way things will ever get done is if people care, and to care, they must be educated and passionate. THIS IS OUR DREAM. And we share it with you through our music. We don't care whether or not you agree with us, as long as you have formed your own educated, well-supported opinion, you're doing your part.
