All crap aside, I am a little-big-city woman who still feels like a small-town girl, and almost all I want out of this life is to appreciate the things I've been given, relish the things I have worked hard to achieve, and roll around gleefully in the love of a good man, friends, and family.
Before you say "hey, that sounds like a lot of sappy crap"...I DID say "almost all"...I also want to make the acquaintance of someone with the power to sign me to a record label, so I can flee joyously from the walls of 9-5 confinement. I also want my own tourbus. And I want to take that bus on tour across the country with my favorite boys and my dogs.
And I want to meet every single man woman and child who finds something in my music that makes them smile. Music brings people together...and it sucks that this computer is my only connection to real people...I want to see your faces and hear your voices and get inspired by the experience of truly connecting with y'all.
I've been at this for a long time now...and I've never really been honest about what I want. So maybe, if I start saying it out loud, it will happen. Maybe I will have my record deal, my tourbus, and my favorite boys and dogs along for the ride. And maybe I will get to meet the folks whose faces are there smiling at me every time I log on.
Here's to being honest about what you want. CHEERS.
