About Me

Northwest By SoutheastPortland Based Drummer From Atlanta

Originally from South Carolina, I played in the Columbia and Charleston metros performing rock originals with Heroes. Next stop Atlanta, where I joined Kingsized, a seven piece loungecore band that earned critical praise and notoriety performing swing, jump blues, soul, torch and originals throughout the southern crescent. Between gigs, I split my time between Atlanta and Nashville, playing songwriter showcases with country artist, Greta Lee and producing commercial music for the advertising industry. My live work with Greta Lee helped her garner an award for Best Country Artist, in Creative Loafing, Atlanta's 1998 survey. In the same period, my swing drumming was a factor in Creative Loafing, Atlanta's critical and popular awards to Kingsized for Best Live Act, Best Swing Band, and Best Rockabilly/Surf Band, establishing Kingsized's growing dominance while forging their reputation for record-breaking grosses at the local clubs.
Currently, I reside in Portland, performing and/or recording with Jennifer Lynn, Joshua James and The Runaway Trains, The Greg Earl Band, The Ward Stroud Band, Karaoke From Hell, The Reverb Brothers, The Blue Vein Miners, Jen and Tonic, One Hit Wonders & Guilty Pleasures, John Soller's Blues Train, and sitting in with The Fenix Project, and Pilar French Intention. I’ve appeared as a journeyman with Robbie Laws, Franco Paleta and the Stingers, the Push Rods, and Marquee. I am also a member of The Last Regiment Of Syncopated Drummers, a marching drum corps dedicated to funky street beats and military cadences. I've received the Cascade Blues Association Muddy Award for Best New Band 2004 with Hoodoo Nation, and a Muddy Nomination for Recording Of The Year 2006 with The Ward Stroud Band. I am available for performance and studio work at [email protected].
