ASTAARTH was founded in 1996 in Dijon ( BURGUNDY ).Two years after,the first démo tape " History of our yesterday's pride " was born.
In 2000,the first album "Golden age of a dead empire "was recorded.This two creations was influenced by the Norvegian Symphonic Black Metal scene with lyricals based in the great Burgundian history.
After the recording of this cd,all the members left the band for personals reasons,exept Lord L Moloch ( The singer ).
In 2005,Lord L Moloch recuit the multi-instrumentalist Lord gondebaud.Togeth er, we recorded Gloria Burgundia new album with help of guests musicians for the traditionals instruments ( hurdy gurdy, accordion, bagpipes, violon,flute, mouthharp,banjo, female vocals ).
The musical style is always with symphonic Black Metal parts but with Burgun dians Folk parts. And the lyricals are always about Burgundian history.
In June 2007,Gloria Burgunda CD has been realeased by the German Label BLOOD FIRE DEATH (a DET GERMANSKE FOLKET division).
