Love is an Anarchist

About Me

I've been playing guitar since I was fifteen.

In my twenties I played electric guitar in bands but I always enjoyed folk music and playing acoustic guitar.

After taking a couple of years off for some important drinking I started playing fingerstyle guitar again seriously in my early thirties and became involved in the London and Essex traditional music scene.

I also sing, play Banjo and a bit of Hammered Dulcimer.

I help organise the Walthamstow Folk club

My Interests

Music:

Influences:

Well known people include Martin Simpson, Martin Carthy, Jorma Kaukonen, Robb Johnson, Bert Lloyd, Pete Atkin, Missisipi Fred MacDowell, Jeff Davis , Jimmy Page, Nic Jones, Derek Brimstone and countless others.

The great thing about the folk scene is that you get to meet so many tremendous musicians and singers who are a match for anyone in the world and yet are hardly known outside the scene.

These people are the most important influence on my music.
