"THE PRICE OF FREEDOM" A true story by George Teo (preview)
"The year was 1979 I was 18 years old and under house arrest with what was left of my family. More than a week passed since I last saw my brothers and sisters, ages 7 to 16. The communists told us that we would never see them again; they were property of the state according to the judge. The Securitate’s informants were watching us day and night and none of our friends knew about us. Yes, you guessed it, I was wondering by now “Where is God, is there a God, what if the communists were right?†About three o’clock p.m. there was a knock on the door and there stood a middle age lady that I have never seen before. First I thought she was just another informer. How would she be able to pass the guards? But her face had a divine glow and tears of joy were running down her face. She was sister Toma, one of the new underground church believers from the next town. A schoolteacher that received Christ a short time ago. Then she told us how a person in a white robe came to her in a dream a few nights ago, told her to get up and go to the train station and take the first train going west. Then he showed her a visual of the station she needed to get off and a group of six children behind a tall chain link fence. “Go now†he said, “They need your helpâ€. She jumped out of bed got dressed and started down the dark streets towards the train station. It was almost 5 a.m. and one of the bakeries was open and she thought; “Those kids looked hungry†so she bought some fresh pastries. The image from her dream was so clear and there was the strongest divine presence all around her as she continued towards the station. There was a train ready to leave the station going west so she got on. At every station she would look out the window to see if it looked familiar and after an hour ride there it was…the city from her dream. “I felt like I was flying†she said, “My feet were barely touching the ground.†After a few blocks she arrived at her final destination. It was about 7 a.m. and just like in her dream there were the children behind the chain link fence. She could see tears in their eyes but they were smiling and after a few minutes she finally was able to tell them who she was and why she was there.
“We have been praying and fasting ever since they took us from our parents three days ago at the police station." they said, "We were worried about the youngest, she has been constantly crying since they told us that they are going to execute our parents so they can’t read their Bible to us anymore. Finally she fell asleep late last night only to wake up at 3 a.m. smiling. She told us that a nice man dressed in white came to her in a dream and said that everything is going to be O.K. and that he will send someone to us early in the morning and we will see our family very soon…â€
Listening to her story that afternoon, my petrified heart that was filled with hate for the communists finally melted and I made three promises that day: I will never doubt God ever again, I will never be ashamed to be called a Christian fanatic even if I have to lose all my friends and I will tell the whole world about what He has done for me."*** It took me a while on that third promise but better late than never and here I am still working on it…(Sorry, the rest of the story will be out soon.)*****
Every religion in the world claimed that they know the way to heaven according to what they were taught. No wonder the atheists have such a hard time believing in God and they don’t realize that it take a lot more faith to believe in evolution…
I believe that there is only one way to heaven, through Jesus Christ. Please, make your decision today; receive Christ in your heart and don’t let the devil tell you what to do, and that it is too late for you. Remember! Christ’s last prayer was for you: “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.â€
