Family and Friendships are priceless .....

About Me

Premade Layouts
As you might have guessed by my friends list-- 95% know all about me, being that you're my wonderful family! =)
How shall I describe myself for the 5% that don't know me, hmm?
I love God... love life... love people. I come from a strong military family background. My Dad, his brothers, my brothers-- retired Navy, Army, Marines. Much of my extended family are in the military today-- nieces, nephews, cousins. I have much love and respect for our troops (past and present), who put themselves in harms way for the freedom I enjoy today. I was also raised with a strong Christian background; my dad, upon retiring from the Navy, became a pastor and pastored in the San Francisco Bay Area, until the age of 84. So that's me, raised a military Navy brat with Christian beliefs.
I treasure the times spent with my children and grandchildren (the loves of my life)... believe me, we never have a dull moment!
I thoroughly enjoy being around my siblings and their family, as well as extended families; especially our reunions that seem to grow in numbers! I also enjoy the friendship of many of my friends in real life and on myspace. You guys are awesome!!!
Music thrills my very being. My favorites are numerous in Classical, Big Band, Oldies but Goodies, Rhythm & Blues, Jazz, Reggae, ISLAND, even some Hip Hop. TODAY, my friend, enjoy the classical sound of Mozart.
Fashion is as fashion goes. I'm casual to the core--island casual, dress comfortably-- whatever suits my mood, from dark colors to bright colors. Love to dress up as well as dress casual. My all-the-time hang-out clothes would be sweats, bare feet or flip-flops. I like to fluff out my hair; bask in bath oils & bubbles, adore perfumes, lotions, skin care cosmetics-- ALL the girlie stuff.
Movies, Symphony, Opera, Plays- I try to see as many as I can fit in my schedule. I love going to the theater, the air filled with surround sound and sharing emotions with total strangers. It is TOTALLY awesome and so much more in a crowded theater.
Books - another passion of mine -- reading. Bible, History & culture are among my many favorites. Recently, I've been reading blogs. They are so very interesting. Some are fascinating, humorous, sad, true-to-life, educational, and even include pictures. I am not much of a writer, but I certainly appreciate good writing. I'm also not much of a blogger, although I will post a blog whenever an interesting article catches my eye. You are more than welcome to read my blogs and even critique it.
Photography - There was a time (so long ago) when I was the photographer of a local newspaper firm back in the islands. I would take pictures of sports events, community activities, etc. It was definitely an experience. I loved every minute of it too. I really need to get back into photography. I'm also one of those people that will sit and look at ALL your vacation pictures and actually enjoy it. =)
Nature - nothing can quite compare to the beauty of God's green earth. I could drive endlessly cross-country just mesmerized by the beauty of the land. I've traveled some in my younger years and have been to quite a few places -- but to travel the world would definitely be an accomplishment for me.
I can go on and on, but we'll leave that for later. Thank you for visiting my page, my friend. I'm sure as time goes on, we'll get to know each other more, until then .... Welcome to my little world. ♥

I would have to say that my heroes are my parents, Falo & Vaililo - loving, intelligent, strong, compassionate, hard-workers, respected leaders and pioneers of the Samoan community in the San Francisco Bay Area-- having served in the ministry for over 30 years until Mom's passing. Dad continued in the ministry until the age of 84. Love you both with all my heart.
