About Me

Writer and perpetually injured wanna-b-girl, Jill “2-left” Murray, dances when no one is watching. A web designer and theatre school graduate, she goes back and forth between Toronto and Montreal with her partner in crime, emcee More or Les, and their b-gle, Frances. She humbly submits her upcoming first novel, Break On Through (Spring ‘08 with Doubleday Canada) as a tribute to b-girls (breakdancers) past, present and future. She is working on her follow-up novel, Rhythm & Blues, about an R&B group gone scandalously wrong.

Hey everybody, go check out Melissa Bell's new column:  Hot Science-y Guys. It's what it sounds like: reviews of guys who are more or less scienc-y, based on their relative hotness. You'll laug...

Have you seen this ad on TV?

I think it solves a problem that no one, anywhere, has. The scene opens with a  flustered mom-type of character, surrounded by small children armed with spilling tuperware. She's on her hands a...

Shock me with your deviant behaviour

I just want to say that I think the "devious" smily looks a lot angrier than I was expecting. (See below.)  Really, I was feeling devious, not flaming with rage when I posted last. And how com...

Got some reviews up on PulpLit.net

A few book and music reviews I wrote have been posted on PulpLit.net. I'm a little embarassed to note that I started each of the two book reviews with a kind of confession. Oops. I wrote them ages ...

Perspective is everything

I feel like I need to tell this story to everyone. I was walking down the street the other day, and I passed a mum walking with two little boys who looked to be about 8 or so. I overheard the one boy...
