one of the most spiritual experiences i can recall having occurred while underworld banged out a legendary set in a full-on downpour on a brisk june day. i shed my raincoat and soaked up the energy of thousands of hearts locked in 4/4 time, all glistening synth washes and ecstatic singalongs, and somehow my faith in humanity was restored. a few hours later, i was humbled again as a stadium full of people fell into an otherworldly hush as the last raindrop kissed the edge of the turning world* at the precise moment radiohead took the stage.
