A POEM FOR MY FRIENDSYou're a light that brightens the darkest of dark....A song that pierces love and laughter into my heart....If you were a string you would be the violin of my symphony....If you were a thing you'd be special, just meant for me....And if you were a face i'd find your countenance filled with loveliness and grace....If you were a place i would live in you forever, amidst your roses and your lace....And so I call to you and you are always there and you always care....You are my light.A BIRTHDAY PRESENT PENCIL LITHOGRAPH FOR ME 2008 The Choctaw Indian in me, eagle spirit-eye of the owl..OH, too much to write.... OK, I'll succumb. Ecclectic, energetic, poetic, romantic, visionary, prophetic, enigmatic, ethereal--those are some great WORDS used to describe me. But they are merely words, something God gave man to communicate with. Here is a poem I wrote 25 year's ago:THE SONGBIRDMy love is like an ancient love song sung through the voice of a single thornbird Softly perched high above on a branch, weakened and thorny, Singing its last melancholy melody of sweet, pure honey. It longs to reach the world with its own orchestra playing the strains of a strange and soulful sitar. As it plays, the day falls to dusk and the moon's pining is heard Calling to stars and angels to save the life of this one little bird. But it is too late in the dawn and the death must press on. The trembling bird, like my trembling heart, throws itself upon a thorn And sings with its last, most beautiful breath, It's love song to all the earth.Do you know what it's like to FEEL the awe of viewing an original Degas or Da Vinci, TOUCHING a newborn foal or SEEING a loved one that's passed on? Or EXPERIENCING the way a martini dances in swirls inside a glass, or INTERPRETING hallowed ground underneath a silver moon? If not, I've got to tell you.....I have dreams and visions, OK I'll just say it!! Seen heaven, Jesus, know how He holds it all together, seen my grandma who passed on and a few others.....just know, HEAVEN EXISTS, GOD EXISTS, JESUS EXISTS, and He wants you to LIVE FOREVER WITH HIM IN LOVE, PEACE, HARMONY, WHOLENESS!! Just ask me.......
