Quadraphonic, formerly known as Volcano was born in Cyprus in the summer of 2004 by ex- members of metal bands Zoner, Godblood, Fallen Angel and Horny Mary.
Original members included:
Kypros Karaviotis on the drums, Mike Yerolemou on the keyboards, Vasos Kyriakides on the rhythm guitar and vocals, Euripides Karaolis on the lead guitar and Marios Hadjikos on the bass guitar.
With a wide variety of influences concentrated mainly on Progressive Rock, Funk, Oriental and Metal, 5 music freaks teamed up with a sole purpose of creating an original type of music free from labels that describe contemporary music today.
After many covers and a short series of gigs in Larnaca and Nicosia, later that summer, we recorded our first promo CD, Tick Back with our first 3 original creations. The songs sounded awesome and all the right chemistry was there!
Unfortunately, due to some radical changes in our lives, things slowed down for a period of time and the promo didn't receive the airplay it deserved.
About a year ago 4 of us, teamed up and started working intensively on new material. A lot of passion, sweat and countless hours have been sacrificed for the perfection of our well-anticipated forthcoming debut album that is due to be released by the end of 2007...
