There are great melodies here as well, so if the work of Lowfish and Solvent appeals and scsi tunes have you headspinning on your kitchen lino, we think youll find this release compulsive and seriously addictive. Comming from Italy, the cyber-electronic-mastermind founded NOVA EXPREXX at 1988 with the intention to create an unconventionale musicmixture. So he combines elements of techno, industrial, trash and trance to an extraordinary sound of high quality.His first band's name was "Shadow of a Doubt", that was founded in Bibione (Italy) in 1982. "Shadow of a Doubt" recorded more than ten tapes (of which the most important may be "Orchidee Spontanee" and "Thirsting for Revenge" of 1986 and "Soundtrack for the Sonic Wind" of 1987) the "Disagreeable Mental Defective (The God's Curse)" EP.The music varied strongly between Ambient and Industrial, from Psychadelic noise to Hardcore-electronic. Above all it reminds to bands like Cabaret Voltaire, Severed Heads, Suicide etc.Before that he has played in two bands, a Wave-band called Wax Doll (tapes: "Away", "Intransigenze") and the dementialfolk-band Europampui (5 Studio Tapes, 1 Live-Tape).----------
The mysterious Camouflage label returns with this killer 9-track electro LP //compilation. Compiled by the enigmatic Christian Roland, this collection is most notable for the inclusion of 3 Electric Sheep (Musik Aus Strom) tracks. ‘Robotcount’ is ace – a casio beat set to electropop flys with a dope robot MC – think of Skanfrom crossed with Cylob’s ‘Rewind’. Killer. ‘The Clone’ is darker – once again a mangled robot provides the vocal, but this time round the atmosphere goes half-acid with a track that sounds like a 2001 take on LFO. ‘Robot Romantics’ returns to Teutonic vocoderpop in crushing style, one to party to kids. Other standouts come from Spenzer with the industrial ‘Time Society’ - bass heavy hip hop beats and melodies that sound not unlike Funkstorung’s earlier work and Oscillator’s excellent ‘Celestron’ - crisp and bouncy sci fi electro of the finest kind, ‘Team flight’ nice and deep house.
