We embrace the darkside of life.We are antireligion,antisociety,black metal.Dead mountain rose from the ashes of a band called Deathshed.Deathshed disbanded due to problems within the band,Deathshed played old school death metal/hardcore,it was a mixture of Six Feet Under and old Crowbar/Hatebreed,not Crowbars or Hatebreeds vocals we went with the death metal style vocals,just there guitar sound.Later in 1997/98 we got inspired by bands out of Sweden and Norway like Marduk,Immortal,Darkthrone,Burzum,Dark Funeral,old Bathory.I,Koldemon had been into Bathory since the late 80s.Most of the inspiration in Dead Mounain comes from 80s era bathory,and early Marduk.In 2000 and beyond we started getting into raw black metal from the U.S.A like Kult Ov Azazel,Bloodstorm,Thornspawn,Demoncy,Krieg,Judas Iscariot etc.Earlier we were more into bands like Deicide,Six Feet Under,Ressurection,Obituary,Crowbar,Life of Agony,old Cannibal Corpse(Chris Barnes era)so Koldemon,Decimator and Jon(our original drummer) moved on and started Dead Mountain.Jon moved to Orlando to work shortly after we started Dead Mountain.Jon is still inactively in the band(he jams with us when he can).Dead Mountain plays raw,grim antireligion blackmetal.No religion is worth the sacrifices they ask for,for a god that is not there.Live for yourself,you are your own god.Embrace the darkness,KOLDEMON
