Born in Paisley, on the 25/3/1985, I am therefore 21 years old. I was brought up from the age of 4 in a very small village, called Penpont which is in the borders of Scotland. I went to primary school in Penpont, in a class that had only 5 boys. I was actually quite naughty as a child, I put slugs on teacher's desk one day, but soon grew out of that and always got good reports.
I went to secondary school in Thornhill (a nearby village) and for first few years I had all my friends in the chess club. When I got into 3rd/4th year I still hung around with same old friends from chess club but we had moved out of club and I became friends with Sarah, who was quite gothic at the time, definitely one of my more rebellious friends. In fifth year I became better friends with Steven, who would later be in a relationship with Sarah (and our wee group was complete + a few others, such as my good friend Matthew Lee). In fifth year I also meet Erin on my school bus. She was in second year, but we knew each other from Penpont Primary as I made her laugh at the dinner table at lunchtime and could never say her full name properly. We sat together on the bus for two years and she became one of my best friends. I’m lucky enough to be friends with them all still, but it has changed since leaving school.
At the end of secondary, I went to St Andrews University, had to spend a year living with a anglo-chinese brat called Henri who I never spoke to as I caught him cheating at snooker one night and who had the personality of a fish. I studied (and still do) Biology and made friends with Stu and Chucky and many other random people. First year was a weird year as I started drinking alcohol for the first time. I moved into a flat for 2nd and 3rd year with Chucky and Stu and on the February 12th 2005, I started my first relationship with Rebecca Rose Jones, who is now m fiancé and who I loved the minute we first met. We were introduced by a friend back home in Dumfries (my nearest town and were Rebecca stays) and the minute we met in Dumfries I knew we had to be together. We kissed a few months later when she came up to St Andrews and I have been hooked on her ever since, we even got engaged at Christmas 2005. I love her so much.
As for hobbies, at school, my passion was always golf. I have played for around 12 years and I am now a 6 handicap. Golf was one of the reasons I chose St Andrews as my University. During Secondary School and at university I grew passionate for computers too, especially graphic design (I’m keen Photoshop fan especially) and as well as golf, i spend a lot of my time designing and writing poetry. Recently I grew interested in guitar and photography and have started building a new website http://www.poetofzwan.com
