Alberto Benicchi -alto sax,composer,Carrara Si diploma nell'anno 2002 presso il conservatorio "F.Morlacchi"di Perugia sotto la guida del M.Mario Raja.Nel 2005 si diploma invece in musica jazz presso il conservatorio "G.Puccini"di La Spezia studiando coi Maestri Piero Leveratto e Alessandro Fabbri,iniziando ad interessarsi alla composizione ed all'arrangiamento. Studia soprattutto coi sassofonisti Claudio Capurro,Gianfranco Tommasi e Andrea Imparato partecipando parallelamente ad incontri e seminari coi sassofonisti Cesare Marchini,Maurizio Giammarco,Piero Odorici in Italia e prevalentemente all'estero con Jesse Davis e George Robert.Ha seguito anche masterclass col pianista Barry Harris. Ha suonato sia in jam session sia in concerto con i seguenti musicisti:Luciano Milanese, Bobby Durham, Jimmy Cobb, Gianni Basso, Andrea Pozza, Stefano Bagnoli, Aldo Zunino, Sandro Gibellini, Giorgio Azzolini, Alberto Marsico, Alberto Malnati, Carlo Milanese,Pasquale Grasso, Andrea Imparato, Fabrizio Cattaneo, Luciano Invernizzi, Alain Jean-Marie, Rodolfo Cervetto,Fulvio Albano, Alessandro Collina, Leo Ravera, Andrea Tofanelli, Luca Begonia, Piero Leveratto, Sergio Casale,Piergiorgio Marchesini,Manuele Dechaud,Marco Cavanna etc... Si è esibito in festival jazz e locali in Italia,Svizzera,Francia,Olanda,Belgio,Germania,Inghilterra,S pagna. Ha avuto importanti formazioni che lo hanno accompagnato in vari concerti:Andrea Pozza Trio (Luciano Milanese,Stefano Bagnoli) anno 2005;Gibellini,Milanese,Bagnoli (Desmond Blue 4et) anno 2006 e Gibellini,Marsico,Bagnoli (Alligator "bogalou"4et) anno 2007. Col chitarrista Marco Di Maggio e la sua Shockabilly Orchestra ha suonato a lungo in Italia e in moltissimi paesi europei,registrando per trasmissioni radio e tv. Nel campo della musica classica, è stato sax contralto dell'orchestra " Città lirica" del festival pucciniano di Torre del lago, per le stagioni concertistiche 2004 e 2005, sotto la direzione dei maestri Nicoli, Veronesi e Kery Lynn Wilson. Ha fatto parte della sezione fiati di 2 edizioni della Sugar Night(2000,2002)suonando con Zucchero, Alex Britti , Giorgia, Andrea Bocelli, Luisa Corna.Nel campo della musica pop ha suonato anche con Maurizio Vandelli e altri gruppi degli anni 60,70.

Alberto Benicchi studied at the "F. Morlacchi" conservatory in Perugia, where he obtained his diploma in 2002 under Master Mario Raja's direction. In 2005, he obtained his diploma in jazz music at the "G.Puccini" conservatory in La Spezia, after attending courses with Piero Leveratto and Alessandro Fabbri, during which he furthered his interest in composition and arrangement. He continued his studies with the saxophonists Claudio Capurro,Gianfranco Tommasi and Andrea Imparato participating at the same time in meetings and seminars by saxophonists Cesare Marchini, Maurizio Giammarco, Piero Odorici in Italy and by Jesse Davis and George Robert abroad. He also attended to masterclasses with the pianist Barry Harris. Alberto Benicchi has performed both in jam session and in concert with the following musicians: Luciano Milanese, Bobby Durham, Jimmy Cobb, Gianni Basso, Andrea Pozza, Stefano Bagnoli, Aldo Zunino, Sandro Gibellini, Giorgio Azzolini, Alberto Marsico, Alberto Malnati, Carlo Milanese,Pasquale Grasso Andrea Imparato, Fabrizio Cattaneo, Luciano Invernizzi, Alain Jean-Marie,Fulvio Albano, Rodolfo Cervetto, Alessandro Collina, Leo Ravera, Andrea Tofanelli, Luca Begonia, Sergio Casale,Piergiorgio Marchesini,Marco Cavanna and others. He also performed at jazz festivals and in several clubs in Italy, Switzerland, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, England And Spain. He collaborated with well-known musicians who accompanied him in various concerts: Andrea Pozza Trio (Luciano Milanese, Stefano Bagnoli) in 2005; Gibellini, Milanese, Bagnoli (Desmond Blue 4et) in 2006 and Gibellini, Marsico, Bagnoli (Alligator "bogalou" 4et) in 2007. With the guitarist Marco Di Maggio and his "Shokabilly orchestra", Alberto Benicchi has been performing for many years in Italy and in several European countries, recording for radio and TV broadcasts. He took part in the woodwind section of two editions of the "Sugar Night" (2000, 2002), performing with artists such as Zucchero, Alex Britti, Giorgia, Andrea Bocelli and Luisa Corna. With regard to pop music, he also played with Maurizio Vandelli and other bands from 60s and 70s. He played the alto sax in the "Orchestra Città lirica Torre del lago" during 2004 and 2005 summer seasons, under the direction of Kerri-Lynn Wilson, Veronesi and Nicoli.
