Old Town Anthem!

About Me

Have you ever experienced the upbeat familiar feeling of catching up with a long lost pal on a Sunday afternoon? Despite talking through phone line these conversations feel like home. These are the emotions and feelings that come to life when listening to Sunday Conversations music. Sunday Conversation is a band whose members come from completely different lives. Chris is from the small rural town of Craig, Colorado, while Sean grew up in Aurora, a large suburb of Denver. As neighbors sharing a wall in a Fort Collins dorm hall, this city slicker and country boy came together with a couple of trashy guitars and a common love for music. During their freshman year at Colorado State University, in between games of James Bond Golden Eye and Fat Tire beer, they started to write songs together. The duo played their homegrown acoustic songs together for four years before deciding to take their music to the next level. They were fortunate to find Mike Browning and Mike Aragon who brought new dimensions to their music. Mike Browning has been a nomad of sorts making home at various spots around the country. However, when he settled in Fort Collins Colorado he crossed paths with Chris on a volunteer adventure in Catalina Island California. Mike and Chris became friends and Mike quickly became an important staple in the band bringing brilliant beats and structure to the band. Shortly after that, Mike Aragon connected with the band through the internet. Mikes love for music and bass guitar gave Sunday Conversation the well-rounded sound they were looking for. Chris and Sean thought the Mikes were the final pieces of the puzzle; that is until they ran into Danielle Anderson who transformed their music once again by adding her brilliant violin to the mix. Danielle has since left the band to persue her own project. Meanwhile, the boys of Sunday Conversation were lucky to run into a very talented musician in Andy Neary. Andy provided the band with the bright new kick it needed with a colorful new edge on keyboard. Andy has the unique ability to be a "utility man" of sorts for the band adding not only keys to the mix, but also auxillary percussion, ukulele, guitar, etc. Also, we would like to introduce the Behind-The-Scenes guy, who is currently cookin' up new artwork, song lyrics, and keepin' the band stoked at the gigs, Sean Cassidy. Who knows, we might even throw him in on some auxiliary percussion sometime very soon. The Sunday Conversation eclectic sound has finally taken true form.
So go ahead, pick up the phone line and enjoy our Sunday Conversation.
