About Me

Nugent has been around the reggae scene for years. He started playing sound at the age of 11 for the sound R.B.I., playing as much basement jams as he could on the east side of Scarborough. At 13 he rejoined some former R.B.I. members to form Shocking Vibes Soundcrew. They played almost all the Scarborough school dances and major east-end clubs such as Spectrum and Palace. Known for his seamless mixes and crowd pleasing selections, Nugent is currently focusing on mix Cd's and remixes as owner/selector of Toronto's Urban Reggae Force (T.U.R.F.)Season II episode III is now on the streets, and still available as a Promo(free) copy. It features some the hottest re-mixes set to sweet lover's rock riddims!!! Episode IV is already in the works. In the mean time enjoy the NFL Re-mix set to some European scenery in the video section, or hear more @ Facebook.com (search Toronto's Urban Reggae Force) for more previews and unreleased mixes.Look out for live performances as T.U.R.F. is planning to hit the road starting in the new year. Laptop, hardrive and his MK-II Mixing console in hand Nugent is getting ready for the club scene again!!!! Promoters/Owners sign up for demos!!! and start booking! You should create your own MySpace Layouts like me by using nUCLEArcENTURy .COM's MySpace Profile Editor !

My Interests

When reggae music started with sounds like Barry G and Rodigon mixers had not been invented. This was why they were using microphones to intro the tunes. In the past few decades, micsmen were then useful for soundclashes. However today with all the new music coming out of Jamaica and all over the world on a weekly basis, one is forced to ask why take time out of your set to intro a song??? This is where T.U.R.F. comes in....No longer will we bother you club patrons with screaming and useless facts about the artist, we're gonna just "Play di Bl**dc**t tunes" and have you shaking 'n' movin for the enitire set!!! It's time for Dancehall to evolve, and we're taking that next step! Stay Tuned and look out for....T.U.R.F. and may Toronto's Urban Reggae Force "be with you"!!!!!!!!!!
