I have been training aspiring models for over 10 years and I need a change. I'm sick of training aspiring wanna-be's to go out and sacrafice their integrity for a success that is NEVER worth the exchange! I have trained models that have gone on to work nationally and internationally only to see them come home with eating disorders, STDs and emotional damage beyond repair. I DON'T believe this is a "bad" industry; however, I do believe it is an industry that requires a LOT of help. It is a world that will chew you up and spit you out and not think twice. It is a world that will pressure you to change your looks, your morals, your friends, and your beliefs. No wonder so many people end up "lost" saying "they don't know who they are anymore". I believe working in this industry is harder than overcoming an addiction (which is sort of is). Even the 12 step programs use a Higher Power to help them thru - if they can admit they need help - I can admit we all do, too!
